Message from the President
I hope that by the time you are reading this, the snow is all gone. I can’t wait to see the green grass and the beautiful flowers again. There are a lot of exciting things coming up in April so I hope you all will join in on some of the great HNC activities.
Please be sure to check out our 1st VP Cathy’s article on Community Investments Committee info. We are very excited to start the most rewarding part of the HNC year, which is the grant process. We will be having a General Meeting on Tuesday, April 28 for ALL MEMBERSHIP concerning grants so please come to the Mount Hollis Lodge (657 Washington Street) at 7pm. Check out Cathy’s article for more details.
Tracey Geden has been working hard on recruiting for Easter baskets this year. Paula DeMarkey has also been doing a wonderful job of getting the Easter meals ready for the seniors in town. Please reach out to these wonderful ladies if you would like to help out. Volunteer slots may be full for this year, but I’m sure they would be happy to keep you in mind for next year.
Don’t forget that book club meets on the third Tuesday of every month. So be sure to check out Mirembe’s book club article about what amazing novel they will be reading this month.
Craft Fair 2015 is in full swing. The application for crafters is up on our web page so please feel free to tell all the amazing handcrafters that you know about our wonderful fair and have them apply. This year’s Craft Fair will be held on November 22. Subcommittees are a wonderful way to get involved and meet new friends!
I hope to see you soon when all this snow melts.
With much gratitude,
