Gifts for Giving

A huge thank you to all who participated in the Gifts for Giving program this year! The families that we helped this year were so thankful and appreciative. We had more families participate this year than in the recent past and it was wonderful to see that we were able to fulfill their needs and help so many families so that their children could have a merry Christmas!

The Gifts for Giving program began more than 16 years ago to provide gifts for children to Holliston families in need of assistance during the holiday season.  Over the years the number of families who participate in this program has increased tremendously as the town’s population has grown, and we saw an even greater increase last year due to the downturn in the economy.

There are a number of ways to help with GFG. You can volunteer to adopt one child or a family (multiple children).  Other options can be choosing to provide clothing gift(s) for one child or providing toy gift(s). We also have had volunteers who have chosen to make a monetary donation and those who want to help with last minute shopping. It is all up to you. In whatever way you choose to help you can help make a difference in a child’s Holiday Season.
