The Holliston Newcomers Craft Fair

We are excited to extend to you an application and contract for the 32nd Annual Holliston Newcomers Club (HNC) Craft Fair! This year’s Craft Fair will be held the weekend of November 21st and 22nd, 2009, at the Holliston High School. The Craft Fair will be open from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM both Saturday and Sunday.

The long-standing reputation of our Craft Fair attracts many quality and repeat crafters from all over New England. In the past several years, well over 2,000 patrons attended the two-day event. The HNC Craft Fair is well-publicized in local media, including newspapers, community TV stations and websites; as well as craft magazines and hand delivered flyers. More importantly, our best publicity comes from personal endorsements by crafters and attendees.

The HNC Craft Fair is run completely by volunteers from the Holliston Newcomers Club each year. We are proud to be able to donate all proceeds from the HNC Craft Fair, including booth fees and ticket and drawing sales, to various non-profit organizations in our town. Organizations that have benefited in the past include the Senior Center, The Holliston Food Pantry, Holliston Public Schools, the Police and Fire Departments, the Holliston Public Library and Holliston Council for the Arts.

Every year we request that all crafters donate an item of their choosing for our Drawing Table. Donations from crafters are prominently displayed at the Drawing Table with the crafter’s name and space number — a great way to attract some extra attention to your booth!

We would like to thank all of the crafters that participated in our annual Crafter Feedback Survey at the end of each day of the 2008 Fair. We truly appreciate all of the feedback that we received, and have been working on addressing several common points. Congratulations to the two crafters whose surveys were drawn to win a free one-day booth for this year's Craft Fair!

We will also be continuing our Crafter Referral Program this year. If you refer a crafter not currently in our database, and they are accepted for 2009, you will receive a 10% refund on your 2009 one-day booth fee. Refunds will be given out the day of the fair.

Below are the application and contract that include important information about the HNC Craft Fair. Please read them very carefully as there are some updates to both this year. Please return your signed contract and application by May 1st, 2009. We recommend keeping a copy for your records. Any applications received after the May 1st deadline will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

If your application is received by May 1st, you will be notified of the jury’s decision by July 1st.
