Community Investments

Hello Newcomers!

Springtime is the time of year for HNC to consider worthy organizations’ applications for our annual grant
distributions. This highlights all the hard work and fundraising our membership puts in through our fundraising activities at the Holliston Craft Fair and the Gingerbread House Decorating Event.

For over 35 years, the Holliston Newcomers Club has been committed to giving back to our community. In 2015, we were able to approve many grant requests to commendable organizations in Holliston. (Note that this does not include all of the items we are able to give to those in our community who need it, such as Thanksgiving baskets, Easter baskets, food drives to benefit the Holliston Pantry Shelf, and so much more!)

Grants must meet the following guidelines:
1. Have a significant impact on the community,
2. Provide needed services/projects to the community at large, and
3. Impact a large number of Holliston residents.

As I write this, I am excited to report that we have had a great amount of applications, and the committee looks forward to reporting on our recipients shortly as we ask for your vote to approve our decisions. It is exciting to be able to give back to our community in this way and support so many worthy organizations. The fact that we have so many applicants speaks to how much our community members do for one another.

What a great way to welcome in spring! Please reach out with any questions.
