Book Review

It’s never too late to join Book Review. Read one selection or read them all; we always welcome new members to the group.

We will be starting off this year by reading a current bestseller, The Help, Kathryn Stockett’s debut novel, for our first book of the 2010-2011 year. It is set in Jackson, Mississippi, in 1962: “A budding social activist begins to collect the
stories of the black women on whom the county club sets relies and mistrusts.” It looks like both a fun and thoughtful book.

The first meeting is on September 16 at 7:30 pm. We are looking for any book requests and suggestions for the coming year.
