Message from the President

Dear Newcomers,

I am so happy that I get the chance to wish all of you and your loved ones a very happy holiday season. This time of year is Holliston Newcomers Club’s busiest time of year. We have our largest fundraiser, Craft Fair, on Sunday, November 23 from 9am-4pm at Holliston High School. We also have some of our most rewarding programs like Thanksgiving Baskets and Thanksgiving meals for our town’s senior citizens this month. I hope you will all take this opportunity to join in on one if not more of these events and really feel how amazing it can be to be a member of our club.

I love this time of year as it focuses on family, friends, decorating, and giving. I hope that you will all enjoy your holiday season. No matter how you celebrate, I hope you enjoy every minute of the festivities.

I wanted to send out a BIG thank you to Jen Bray and Amy Lewis for hosting our College Throwback Party. I had a blast. It was so nice to see all who came out and enjoyed one last night of college partying. For those of you who couldn’t make it, I hope you will join us next year for another great night at your favorite college party.

Craft Fair is coming, Craft Fair is coming! Please don’t forget to use sign up genius and sign up for your preferred shift at Craft Fair. Also, please remember to prepare your two baked good items for the bake table at the Craft Fair. These baked goods and two-hour shift are something we ask of each member! For drop-off locations for baked goods, make sure you check the Craft Fair article further in this newsletter.

Denise Bassett, along with her family, will be hosting our first Welcome Gathering on Saturday, November 15 from 2pm-5pm. We hope all members - old and new - will join us for a great chance to mingle and enjoy one another’s company. Please feel free to reach out to Denise if you are able to bring a snack or a beverage.

Ladies Night Out is hosting another fun event on Tuesday, December 2nd from 7pm-9pm. Be sure to bring your favorite gift under $6 for five other ladies to enjoy. Nicole Finneran will be hosting this event. I can’t wait!

Thank you all so much for all your amazing support and efforts. From my family to yours, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
